Cindy is the assistant manager at Blimpie Sandwich Shop. Her day usually
starts in the morning, baking the bread, and doing the paper work for
the day. She slices up the vegetables and meats, makes sure the lettuce
is fresh, makes sure all the prep stuff is set up, and then bakes cookies.
She makes sure everything is stocked up (soda, napkins, straws, cups,
etc.) for the lunch rush and then checks on all the food and areas of
the kitchen to make sure it is all set up right. Cindy makes sure her
employees are ready to start the day. During the busy times she is making
sure all the employees are doing their jobs right, she is greeting and
working the cash register, and making sure the customers are happy.
When it starts to slow down again she begins to clean up from lunch.
She then checks out the sub area to see what needs to be restocked.
Usually she will slice more meats and vegetables and make sure the lettuce
is still fresh. She again makes sure everything is all stocked up for
the dinner rush. She makes sure that her employees are working and doing
their jobs right and keeps herself busy cleaning and organizing until
the dinner rush. The dinner rush is pretty much the same as the lunch
rush. Cindy works at the cash register while she manages the store.
She greets customers and makes sure the employees are doing something.
When the rush is over she cleans up the store and makes sure everything
is okay before she leaves for the night at six pm.
" like gold, that's how we treat our customers" |

There are certain standards of consistency that all employees at Blimpie must follow. The food is to be prepared a certain way. One person puts the meat on the bread the other dresses it then it is handed to the cashier who puts it on a tray and hands it to the person at the counter. The tray is then given to the customer.
All employees are expected to greet customers with a smile. They say hello and then either tell them someone will be right with them or they will immediately take the order. All employees are told to treat the customer the best that they can no matter what the customer's attitude is.
