LEAVING
I remember I saw a small ancient
church
in Bath, England, on the one side of
which babies
climbed ladders. In stone.
These figures are like every
one's extremely young children
who leave early childhood so
easily it unfills the parents'
breath. And if all goes well all
celebrate
the growing. The growing,
going, gone. Is the way life is:
how it's done.
