Coach Rhonda Faunce is the current Elmira
College head volleyball
and softball coach, as well as the director of physical education.
She ended up in Elmira after the athletic director at Ithaca College
told
her about the position. She applied and has been here ever
since, that was eighteen years ago. She received both her undergrad and
graduate
degree at Ithaca College where she played both Varsity Volleyball
and Softball. She was born on January 9th in Carthage, NY. Coach Faunce
and
her older brother Russell attended high school at Carthage
Central High School where she too played for both the volleyball and
softball teams.
In her spare time she enjoys backpacking, camping, puppies
and loves poker.
Her favorite television show is Survior and her favorite
movie
is Disney's classic Cinderella. Coach Faunce loves this movie
because “…I
think you want to believe life is like that, because it isn’t.”
