Family
I consider myself a pretty big family person. I have a very close-knit family and we are pretty active in each other's lives. That is, at least the side of the family my family is still in contact with. Several years ago we lost contact with my father's sister and my cousins on that side, but my family is still very close to my mom's family. My family (the McMahon's) consists of my self and my sister (Sam), and my parents, Robert and Carol.
My mom has two siblings, an older brother and a younger sister, my Uncle Mike and Aunt Anne. My uncle never married by my aunt married my uncle Arthur had three kids, my cousins Katie, Jesse and Jenny. My grandparents on my dad's side passed away before my sister and me were born, as did my mom's dad. My only surviving grandma, my Oma, only lives 15 minuets from my house.
Any occasion we can come up with we try to get together. Holidays are a given with certain traditions we follow each year. Christmas Eve at my Oma's, Thanksgiving at My house, Easter at my Aunts, and we get together for all the ones in between as well. My cousins are around the same age as me and my sister, Katie is a year older than Sam, Jesse a year younger than me, and Jenny, the youngest and therefore the most spoiled, is five years younger than me. Shopping trips and movies and sleepovers are a frequent event for us. |
