Kathy spends most of her workday traveling from site to site. She says the reason for this is because

Since the original building plans are her's things don't get started without Kathy approving them. She checks over the work that was done the day before and what is being completed that day. She also meets with other workers at the site to discuss their jobs. For example, she sometimes meets with electricians to go over her plans with them. Kathy is the person who finds the mistakes or blemishes and figures out how to fix them. By visiting the different sites she is able to make sure that everyone is on top of their jobs. She is makes sure that the project will be finished by the deadline. If certain aspects are behind schedule Kathy is the one who makes the calls and gets things done.
After spending the majority of the day on
the job sites Kathy goes to her office. Her office is where all of the technical
stuff takes place. Kathy meets and plans with new clients as well as meeting
with present clients about the progress of their homes. She also spends this
time talking to the people who are her subcontractors. She discusses anything
she found at the site that needs to be altered or anything that she is concerned
about regarding the project. Kathy also does her planning at this time when
is no longer surrounded by the noises of building the homes and can sit at her
desk and plan new homes. She can go over the blueprints of current projects
to make sure everything is going as planned. This is Kathy's time to dream up
new plans and start getting them into motion.
