Lois
Schoener, Professor and Director of Nurse Education joined the faculty in
1987. I received a MS in Nursing from Syracuse University and earned a PhD
in Nursing Science from Widener University in Chester, Pennsylvania. I hold
a certification in Nursing Education from the National League for Nursing.
My research interests are clinical teaching and learning. In addition to my responsibilites as Program Director I coordinator and teach the Nursing Field Experience practicum which is the capstone experience for nursing majors. and also teaches Perspective of Professional Nursing Care.
I have held leadership positions in a number of professional organizations including the New York State Nurses Association. Currenlty I am the president of Rho Gamma, Elmira College’s Chapter of Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing.
