Welcome
I joined the Elmira College faculty in 1993 teaching mainly in the Nurse Education Program. I earned my Bachelor's degree in nursing from Northeastern University and my Master's degree from Syracuse University in psychiatric-mental health nursing. I recently earned a Bachelor's degree in ministry - with an emphasis in Christian counseling - and have been a licensed pastor since 2007. I am currently pursing a Doctorate of Ministry in Christian Counseling Psychology.
I teach courses in Psychiatric-Mental Health Nursing, Nursing Fundamentals, Nursing Theory and Introductory Psychology. I am trained in End-of-life Nursing Education and provide a course annually. I am a member and past treasurer of Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing, Rho Gamma chapter. I am trained in SafeTalk and ASIST, both of which are suicide prevention. I serve as the faculty advisor to the Christian Fellowship group on campus. My passion is mentoring young people.
