History Honor Society

For over twenty years I have been privileged to serve as the faculty advisor to the Psi Tau Chapter of Phi Alpha Theta, the international honor society in history. Students are invited to join this society if they achieve the following criteria:

Members of our society have an annual formal dinner and initiation, usually in late February or early March. During the academic year our society sponsors various lectures, performances, and movies. We also get together to discuss graduate and law school applications as well as explore career opportunities for history majors. We sometimes dine together and discuss student and faculty research projects or current political/ cultural developments. Last but not least, we have parties!
