A little about me...
I teach courses in medical surgical nursing, fundamental skills, and critical care nursing, as well as a course in pharmacology and pathophysiology. Before Elmira College, I worked in the medical-surgical and critical care areas as a Registered Nurse. My research areas include adult health and chronic illness.
In addition to teaching I have published several reviews in CHOICE magazine and have presented at a Rho Gamma Research Symposium on smoking cessation and also on stress among nursing students. I am currently pursuing a doctorate in nursing research at Duquesne University.
I am also the faculty advisor to the Nursing Club and participate in many club activities and educational trips.
I am a member of Sigma Theta Tau and the National League for Nursing, having earned the Master's of Science in Nursing from Syracuse University and the undergraduate degree from Mansfield University.
Along with my role at Elmira College, I am married to a very supportive husband and a busy mother of four very active school-age children. I also serves as a Girl Scout leader and Committee Chair for the local Boy Scout troop.
