Welcome
Greetings. My name is Si Meyer and I have taught mathematics at Elmira College forever. (I'm assuming that "since 1978" counts as forever for most visitors to this website.)
I grew up in Miami (I may also be the oldest native-born Miamian you are likely to meet) and I went to college at the University of Chicago during the turbulent 60's. I did graduate work at Washington University in St. Louis. I taught for a while at the University of Iowa and moved east seeking a small college where the focus was on teaching. Eventually, I found Elmira College.
