...it's unpredictable, crazy and yes I love it!

So, my name is Diane Cenotti, I am currently a senior at Elmira College majoring in Psychology. I have this wonderful and at times, unrealistic passion for life, and trying to see the good in people. One of my biggest passions is traveling, which usually brings my humanitarian attitude out in full force. I suppose the common strand of humanitarianism continues through into my pursuit of an M.A. in Professional Counseling at Central Connecticut State University next year. After all, if I did not believe in the good of humanity and the ability for people to change I would surely be headed down the wrong career path. I understand that many of my days in the future will be trying and, at times I will certainly wonder why I ever decided to choose such a stressful occupation. However, the rewards are bound to outweigh the speed bumps I will hit along the way, and I cannot wait to experience it all!

Why should we care about the environment anyways?

One person cannot possibly save the world so why should you care about the environment right? Wrong!

Change has to start somewhere so why not with you?! Simple tasks completed each day can, and if chosen will produce a positive impact on the environment. I know it seems as if everyone is suddenly concerned about global warming, nuclear waste, pollution and the whole shebang. The word “green” has undeniably become a fad recently, but really these are issues that have existed for decades, and are more recently being paid the lack of attention they received prior. I encourage you to click on some of the links below to learn more about a variety of topics including what environmental sustainability means, how sustaining the environment relates to decreasing poverty and much more!
