Beverly likes working in Dining Services at Elmira College because she likes working with kids.

"I like kids, I like people, I'm a very people person."

Beverly chooses to stay at this job because of some of the benefits of the job. One of the benefits that appeals greatly to Beverly is the fact that if you are an employee at Elmira College, your children can attend the college for free. Because of this great benefit, Beverly wanted her daughter to attend Elmira College after she graduated. However, Beverly's daughter has decided to go and live with her grandmother, Beverly's mother and is going to attend the University of Southern California instead.

She also chose to stay because,

"I like being around kids. At first it was great, it was so much fun but, now it's so stressful."

Even though Beverly likes many things at her job and chooses to stay there because of these things, she does dislike a few things about this job. One of the things that she dislikes is that she does not like some of the college students' attitudes or some of her co-workers' attitudes.

"It takes a lot for me not to like it, but you have to have respect among your co-workers. There's a lot of gossip and pettiness."

The environment for the job can sometimes be laid back. However, it can be very high-strung at times because of all of the gossip that occurs.

Beverly chose this current job because like her other past food service jobs, she likes to work with kids and enjoys to work in a very social setting.
