MY FAMILY

Although, I may not always show it my family is extremely important to me. My mom Paula McKeva Woodside Neeley is an awesome mother and best friend. I have the most respect for my mom and admire her strength, wisdom and drive to succeed at everything she does. My sister Regine Cardacia Neeley is the middle child and if any of you understand what it means to be a middle child then my sister pretty much resembles that stereotype extremely well. She is a thirteen-year-old girl pretty much attempting to discover herself now. Learning her likes and dislikes and expressing every opinion that she has as much as possible. I Love her for it because it shows me she is going to develop to be a strong, independent woman and this phase is natural for any girl of her age. My little brother Cardinal Joel Neeley Jr. on the other hand is my heartstring. He was named after our father, apparently when I was born my dad decided that he wanted me to have my own identity and as a result decided not to give me his name. However, 15 years later when my little brother came into this world, the name of Regis or Ryan was not apparently, what my dad had in mind. No matter, life goes on, lol. C.J. as we call my little brother is a bundle of joy. He is currently going through that I know it all phase that little kids go through because now he has learnt to read and write and do basic arithmetic. It is somewhat hard being away from them but being the type of person that I strongly believe in out of sight out of mind, this is the best way for me to handle school and everything and not have to focus on missing home. Besides, I have realized that it is up to me to make sure I set a good example for my siblings and to succeed to show my mom her hard work and good genes have not went in vain, lol.
