Alaska: Wildlife Ecology and Conservation  

An in-depth exploration of Alaska’s history and its struggle with environmental issues. Classroom instruction and visiting Alaska’s Kenai Peninsula, where John Muir was inspired to write his novel “Travels in Alaska”. Ecology and conservation of the Alaskan territory will be the primary focus.



The Natural and Social History of Ireland

A study of the natural history and culture of Eire (Ireland). Students will learn about the flora and fauna of the island as well as major aspects of its geology. Key events in Irish history that have shaped modern Ireland will be explored. Our tour of Ireland will include major historical sites as well as places of geological interest. Visits to cities and towns will allow us to experience the diversity of  Irish culture.
