Meet the Rest of the Gang
And you thought I was the crazy one...
I have one older brother named Damien, who is currently working as a waiter and bartender to save up money for chef school. With Damien being only 17 months older than me and growing up in the middle of nowhere with no other kids around to play with we were very close as we grew up. Today Damien and I are still very close and have a great brother sister relationship. My parents divorced when I was five, so in reality I have two families seen as both are now happily remarried. My mom lives in the country near where we grew up with her new husband where they run their own retail business from their home. My dad lives up North in Wasaga Beach with his new wife and her two kids, Michelle and Nicky, who are both younger than both Damien and I.
My friends are like my family away from home. I would be lost without every single one of them. The main group of friends that I call my family are my suite mates plus a few extras, including: Bam, Rachel Goddu, Erica Scott, Cubby and Cassie McNitt. Bam is my roommate and my stall buddy in hockey and sits beside me for every practice and every game. Cubby lives in the single in my suite and is my goalie buddy for life. Rach and Erica share the other double in the suite and support me in every single sport I play in. McNitt is a frequent visitor who we just did not have enough rooms in our suite for her to live with us but she definitely belongs in there with us as part of our family. I would be nothing without my friends and I appreciate them each day.
