This is my page where I get to talk about one of my loves in life... sports!

First I'll give you the break down of my sports experience in high school:
9th grade: Junior Varsity (JV) Soccer, JV Basketball, and Varsity Softball
10th grade: Varsity Soccer, JV Basketball (Captain), Varsity Softball
11th grade: Varsity Cross Country, Varsity Basketball, Varsity Softball (Captain)
12th grade: Varsity Cross Country (Captain), Varsity Basketball, Varsity Softball (Captain)

I started pitching when I was in 5th grade. Although I played other sports, it was no secret that softball was my favorite, and I prided myself on being the best that I could be. You can check out some of the highlights from my high school softball career here.

My most memorable game came during my junior year when my team made it to the sectional finals. The game lasted 10 innings and we won 1-0. It was probably the best game I've ever pitched in my entire life. Not only that, but this game also exemplified the meaning of being a true team, because that is what my team was... a true team. I cannot even describe how good a feeling it is to be a part of something like that. But I do know everyone who plays sports should get that opportunity because you will never forget it.

Now, I play varsity softball for Elmira College as well as participating in various intramural sports such as softball, basketball, and volleyball.

Sports have become a huge part of my life. Not only do they keep me in shape so that I feel good about myself, but the experiences I've had with sports I wouldn't trade for the world. Participating in sports has given me the opportunity to develop skills working in teams and the ability to understand the true meaning of the word "teamwork." This alone will help me throughout my entire life. Not only that, but by playing sports one creates memories and friendships that will never end, and I have been lucky enough to create some of the relationships and memories that I know will last a lifetime.
