The Ocean!

My first vacation was to Cayo Coco, Cuba and the first ocean I swam in was the Atlantic Ocean. Forgetting that an ocean is salt water, I sprinted into the ocean with my bathing suit on diving straight ahead. After swallowing 5 gallons of water and leaving my eyes open, it came to my surprise quickly that this was no pool. My first ocean was an experience with all my friends. We laid on the beach during the days and would swim to cool off. This was like nothing I have experienced before because I am from a large city in Toronto. There is no sight of an ocean from my house. I had the opportunity to go scuba diving right in a large group of colourful and exotic fish. The downside? I had no idea how to use a snorkel. I continued to swallow water until I could not breathe anymore. So I just sat on the boat and tanned. Well, I did still look over the boat to look at the fish. It was a memory I will never forget since I do not have many chances to go on vacations. The ocean was the best first place to go and I got to bring some awesome shells home in return. (I believe this is against Cuban law..) Overall, the ocean was a natural place that I could just relax and enjoy. Soaking up the sun and the feel of salt water was the most fulfilling adventure to start off my travels.
