Friends

"But friendship is precious, not only in the shade, but in the sunshine of life, and thanks to a benevolent arrangement the greater part of life is sunshine".

- Thomas Jefferson

Friends are very important to me; they are always there to help you out and are there for you when you need them the most. Most of the people people I grew up with and went to school with are still my close friends today. At home I have a close group of friends that I have known since elementary and middle school: Brooke, Brielle, Katherine, kmabs, Pat, Nick, Chris, Lexi, Dan, Jenna, Moose, Bird, and Gibby. I keep in touch with them and spend time with them when I'm home. Even though were persuing different careers we'll always be friends and will make time to see each other. I have known my best friend, Brooke since fourth grade and we got along right from the start. Brooke goes to school back home in Binghamton; we’re not far away from each other but we’re both extremely busy but we still make time for each other.

When I first came to college I was nervous about making friends. I now do not know why I was so nervous because I have made lots of friends at college. I made my first friends at summer orientation with the girls in my orientation group; these girls were Shannon, Beth, and Myesha. All four of us have almost every class together because we are all Nursing majors! After meeting my roommate I felt so relieved because she is a cool girl and we get along really well. Once lacrosse started I got to meet more people and became close friends with many girls on the team. The lacrosse team is like a family to me; I see these girls almost everyday and they’re always there for me. During the season I became very close with three girls, Emma, Marki, and Mk. All four of us our freshmen and always have a good time together. The friends that I have made here are friends that I’ll know for the next three years. These friends are my family away from home.
