I go by the name Bam-Bam, but my real name is Jamie. Wondering how I got the nickname huh? Everyone always asks so I will tell. When I was born I was 10 weeks premature, 10 weeks!! My due date was November 27, 1987... boy was I way off. Being born September 9, 1987 weighing in at 4 pounds, and dropping to 2 pounds that night I fit in the palm of my dads hand head to toe. I was placed in an incubator for 2 weeks, and doctors didn't think I would make it and if I did, I would be slow at everything. With beating the odds, I earned the nickname Bam-Bam from my father. I still have the nickname until this day espically in the sport I love playing; Ice Hockey, it fits so well. Im not you typical person, yes I work 8 hours a day in the summer, I go to school, but in my free time I don't go out with my friends I am at the ice rink playing hockey and sometimes at the roller rink. If im not at a rink I am in the gym or outside running trying to stay in shape. My life is my family and hockey. I went to La Jolla High School, and I missed a lot of school for hockey, but I was able to keep my grades up and be a good student. My senior year I was crowned Prom Queen, and OH MAN was that a shocker. I was in shock when they announced my name, it was crazy. So I really am not your typical Califonian Girl.
