Family and Friends.
My family and friends are my backbone in life. I was the youngest born into my family. My parents Will and Michelle have always been there to help and support me through whatever may come my way. My dad owns Century Masonry along with my uncle and my mom works as a public health nurse. Like all families, we don’t always get along but I know that wherever my life may take me I know I always have loving arms to go home to. They have done so much for me and without them I wouldn’t be where or who I am today. The middle sibling is my brother Graham, he is approaching his twenty third birthday. Although Graham and I have had ups and downs now that I’m away at school we get along better than ever, I know I can always turn to him for anything. Jennalee is the oldest turning twenty-five in a few weeks and a few years ago she packed up and took a job in Calgary Alberta. I only get to see her at Christmas and in the summer if I’m lucky. I miss my sister but I believe our relationship has grown since she moved. We talk almost everyday and Jennalee has contributed so much to the girl I am today. She taught me to be strong in tough situations and just to do whatever makes me happy, not what makes everyone else happy. My big sister is role model and I am forever grateful for the things she has taught me.
My friends, like my family has always been there for me I can always count on them for advice, we are each other’s backbones. Coming to Elmira I have made new friends and our friendships are still developing but I know that the people I meet here will be friends for life. After all, if college is the best days of your life my friends here are the ones I would want by my side. When I think back on my childhood and teen years there is always one person that comes to mind. Cally Ann and I have been close friends since we were in elementary school and it grew even more when we began high school together. She is the only one, other than my mom, who knows me better than I know myself. We have travelled everywhere together and were basically inseparable. After high school came the toughest challenge for us, Cally was pursuing figure skating and travelling with Disney on Ice for the year and I was going away to College. However our friendship has not been effected by the distance and the few times we have seen each other feel just like old times, I could never ask for a better friend. Although I may go different directions with my life, and friends may come and go I know our friendship will never change.
