My Life in Sports
My first experience with outdoors and sports activities would have to be when I started playing t-ball when I lived in Washington. I would play with the boys on my team and was never really into all of the typical girl things. My family and I also did a lot of white water rafting when we lived in Washington. About every weekend my dad would take us on a trip down some river, and I loved every single minute of it. Once we moved to Massachusetts then I started softball, basketball, and soccer when I was in middle school. Every different season my brother and I had a different sport to play. Then in eighth grade I became a cheerleader along with my lists of other activities. And when it came to high school I decided to try out for cheerleading instead of my usual sports, I made the squad and have been cheering every since. So my four years of high school I was a cheerleader the first two sports seasons and continued with softball for the third season of the school year. Here at Elmira I am a cheerleader again and sadly at a college level cheerleading and softball conflict so I was not able to do both. As far as outdoor activities my family and I have gone camping ever since I can remember. My dad and I go fishing all of the time, and we also like to go on hikes in the near by mountains. Ice fishing and snowmobiling in the winter keeps my family and me outdoors all year round. My whole life I have been outdoors and probably will be for the rest of it.
