If anyone wants to know about me, all they need to do is ask. The strange looking kid on your Right is me, Eric Leyden.
However, it did not start off very well for me. I was born six weeks premature and diagnosed with Cerebral Palsy. I’ve undergone three surgeries over my lifetime and countless hours of physical therapy. Yet, I never let my way of life get the best of me. I am now a sophomore at Elmira College, the place that invented the colors purple and gold. Okay, so maybe they didn’t create purple and gold, but they sure love to use it wherever they can.
If anyone knew anything about me they would know that I love to play video games. I could talk to you for hours chronicling my favorite video games, or how long it took me to beat this game or telling you stories of my first video game on the Nintendo, but I'll leave that up to you to ask. Video Games have been my whole-life love affair. But I also enjoy other things like playing lacrosse, watching movies with friends, hiking and swimming among other things. Friends and family are the two most important things in my life. Without them, I doubt I’d be half the man I am today. Life may be a challenge, but I learned that you have to give 110% everyday, not matter what. It may seem hard at first, but I look back at my twenty years and smile.
"Nothing in the world can take the place of Persistence. Talent will not; nothing is more common than unsuccessful men with talent. Genius will not; unrewarded genius is almost a proverb. Education will not; the world is full of educated derelicts. Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent. The slogan 'Press On' has solved and always will solve the problems of the human race." - Calvin Coolidge
