Most Memorable Coaching Experiences
Deb
told me her favorite group to coach was “the little ones,”
or the T-ball players from 5 to 7 years of age. This is where they
are “learning to run to 1st not to 3rd.” My group and
I got to watch a game, and they are cute. Running the wrong way,
playing in the dirt, and yelling at the top of their lungs were
just a few things seen during the game we watched.
When asked her most memorable moment when coaching she says, “Anything
with the little kids is good. Everything with the little kids is memorable
in so many ways, from whether they just peed their pants on the bench
to anything they do. Even that has a way of being cute.”
“Little girls hug everybody. You have your first practice, they’ve
just met you, and they’re bringing you flowers.”
“At the end of the whole thing, it’s looking back and knowing
I was a part of this entire thing is the most memorable part.”
Deb loves everything about coaching the little kids and all ages. “I
like them all. I wouldn’t do it if I didn’t like them all.”
