Year Inducted:1985
Position: Goalie

In 1956 Gerald played for the St. Michael’s Majors, in Toronto.

By 1965 he became part of the Boston Bruins team.  By 1968 he was the top goalie of that team.  The Bruins with him in net won two Stanly Cups, in 1969-70, and 1971-72.

Gerry played in the 1969 and 1979 All-Star games.

In 1972 he became a member of the Cleveland Crusaders.  Also during this time he played for team Canada.

In 1976 he returned to play for the Bruins.  By 1980 problems with his knees forced him to retire.

Later that year he became the head coach of the Bruins.  He coached them for five seasons; he then became a scout for them.

He is best known for the stitch marks he would put on his goalie mask and his aggressive style.
