Eligibility Requirements & Nomination Process

Requirements to be eligible for membership into the National Softball Hall of Fame are as follows:

For Players: Be retired for at least three years from active play at the National Championship level and named to at least three ASA All-American teams including two first team selections.

For Umpires: Umpire at least 15 years and be in at least five ASA National Championships.

For Managers: Manage at least 15 years and be in at least five ASA National Championships.

For Sponsors: Sponsor for at least 10 years and be present in four National Championship Finals.

For Commissioners: Serve as ASA state or metro commissioner for at least 15 years plus.

For Meritorious Service: Contribution must have made an impact at the National level and must have served in other categories as well.

Nominees must receive at least nine of the 12 votes cast by the ASA Hall of Fame Committee members to be elected. Nominees can only be submitted three times and can only be made by ASA commissioners, past presidents, and commissioner emeritus.
