Women's Hall of Fame
Eligibility Requirements & Nomination Process

Nominations for the National Women's Hall of Fame are accepted from anyone in the general public who has a woman in mind of extraordinary character to suggest. Nomination forms are available on the National Women's Hall of Fame website.

All women who are nominated must be citizens of the United States. The woman may be alive or deceased and must have contributed in a meaningful and lasting way to our American way of life nationally, and this contribution may very well have spread to the global level.

The nominations are reviewed and decided upon once a year, by a select panel of judges who change annually. These judges are expertsin one of the fields referenced in the National Women's Hall of Fame's mission statement--the arts, athletics, business, education, government, the humanities, philanthropy or science--and also serve as representatives of respected organizations throughout the United States.

Supplementary materials can be submitted along with the nomination forms. These may include articles written by the woman at hand, copies of speeches she made, copies of artwork, etc. These additional resources will be considered by the panel of judges and will become part of the woman's larger file in the Hall of Fame if she is admitted.
